Welcome to my vision!

Duh! I thought, why don't I do what I love to do? At San Jose State, music majors have a senior recital, dancer majors are able to create senior portfolios, but what about the folks in the middle? I needed a showcase that would give me an opportunity to share what I have learned as a undergraduate student.

Well thank God for the Creative Arts program! My Senior Project is the creation of 'Myths and Him' (thanks for the title Mark!) It has been my dream to perform in a concert singing the incredible works of songwriters like Adam Guettel, Jason Robert Brown and George Michael.

San Jose State University's Musical Theatre program is not very big and only offers a 'minor' in Musical Threater. At SJSU, Musical Theatre belongs to Janie Scott. Professor Janie Scott's vision of 'Company One' has influenced my life (as well as others) in so many incredible ways! She has shown me that following your dreams is not a cliche statement - rather a rule to live by. With this in my heart, I have grown so much from the young football player, fresh out of high school and have blossomed into a creative artist, living and breathing performance.

'Myths and Him' is my vehical to promote musical theatre on the San Jose State University campus. I hope this project and my cast will influence other students to push for a larger Musical program on the San Jose State campus as Janie can only do so much.
